Markham Live Site Optimisation Study

Adamson Associates is providing Master Planning services to the Town of Markham for a new 100-acre mixed-use sports and entertainment destination attraction for the Town and surrounding region. Envisioned as a major sports and entertainment destination attraction for the Town of Markham and the surrounding region, this high-density nodal city centre is planned for high-order destination uses such as a Performing Arts Centre, Five-Star Hotel and Convention Centre, Sports, Entertainment, Retail and Cultural Venues, Residential Condominiums, and Class ‘A’ office buildings.

Bayside

The Bayside development site will be a vibrant and diverse mixed-use neighbourhood, complete with 1,700 residences, retail, restaurant and entertainment corridor, and office and employment space.

The new neighbourhood will be constructed in phases with first occupancy of buildings and completion of dynamic new public spaces as early as 2014.

World Trade Center Redevelopment Project - East Bathtub, Towers 2, 3 & 4

The East Bathtub is comprised of four sub-grade basement levels of the of World Trade Center site, essentially composed of: Towers 2, 3 & 4, and the Port Authority's transit hub, retail and support facilities.

Adamson was responsible for the master plan coordination and preparation of the East Bathtub space allocation documents. The project involved careful coordination with numerous design architects, consultants and public agencies.

World Trade Center Master Plan

Master Plan Architect: Studio Daniel Libeskind

Adamson provided Studio Daniel Libeskind with design support and a series of building massing and feasibility studies, and test fits for the various development parcels of the overall site.

Urban Reconstruction of Alameda

Completed in 2006, the design for this project encompasses three city blocks and is part of a larger 64-block improvement effort for an area that was devastated by an earthquake in 1985. A group of architects were selected to develop architectural designs for 12 new buildings that would integrate the Mexican atmosphere, concepts and state-of-the-art technology for corporate buildings, retail areas and entertainment facilities.

Adamson assisted in the master planning and collaborated with Legorreta to establish design development guidelines.

Urban Entertainment Centre

Situated between the trade fair grounds, banking district and central railway station, this development includes the construction of live theaters and cinemas, commercial offices, mixed retail and a 45-storey hotel over a three-level below-grade parking garage for 3,300 cars. In the second phase of the project, parking for an additional 700 cars was added.

The project involves the coordination of at least six separate architectural firms.

North Quay Development, Canary Wharf

This is one of the largest proposed developments in London, with more than four million square feet between two office towers of 36 and 39 storeys and a 16-storey office building. All three buildings are linked with bridging floors that provide large open floorplates suitable for trading and sheltered public circulation and function areas below.

MaRS Research and Development Centre

The MaRS College Street Master Plan seamlessly integrates state-of-the-art research and development facilities, commercial business entities and related support services within an overall interactive campus development.

The Master Plan includes a three-phase development: the redevelopment of the existing Heritage College Wing and the 11-storey South Tower; a new 16-storey, advanced technology research and development building (the East Building); and its twin (the West Building). A major linear galleria connects each of the facilities on the campus.
