Keith Barnes Associate
Keith Barnes joined AAI in January 2015 and was made an Associate in 2018. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, he holds a Bachelor degree in Architecture. He began his professional career in 2005 working as a Project Superintendent and Concrete Tilt-up Panel Designer with Newcomb Construction Company, a design-build firm specializing in custom architectural site-cast concrete buildings. In 2008, Keith joined Kahler Slater in Wisconsin as a Project Architect where he contributed his skills to several hotel projects for established hoteliers such as Marriott, Hilton, Sheraton and Kimpton, including the award-winning adaptive reuse of a National Historic Landmark office building in downtown Milwaukee to a Hilton Garden Inn. Keith has also contributed to other notable projects such as the Methodist Medical Center of Illinois expansion, the Wisconsin Institute for Medical Research, and the Meriter Health Clinics.
From 2005 to 2012, Keith also ran his own residential design and drafting firm, CB Architecture, completing several renovation, addition and new construction projects to private residences.
Keith is a registered architect in the States of New York and Wisconsin, a LEED Accredited Professional, and a member of the American Institute of Architects and the International Code Council.
