Marta Karamuz Associate
Marta Karamuz is an Associate and licensed architect in our New York office, currently focused on high-rise projects under construction in New York City. Registered in New York and New Jersey, Marta’s 16 years of industry experience encompasses all phases of design and construction, from strategic planning to project close-out, and includes mixed-use, commercial, and residential development as well as institutional work, in the US and internationally.
Since joining AAI in 2014, Marta has led the Executive Architect services on 860 Washington, a ‘Class A’ office high-rise in the Meatpacking District of Manhattan, and currently represents the firm as the on-site Construction Contract Administrator at the MoMA Tower expansion at 53W53, a residential supertall building designed by Ateliers Jean Nouvel.
As a member of AIANY, Marta organized and participated in the Archtober 2017 “What Not to Draw” panel discussion, aiming to streamline the project delivery process and to enhance collaboration among architects, contractors, and developers. Marta is a Construction Documents Technologist as certified by CSI and is OSHA 10-Hour Certified.
Marta earned her Master of Architecture from Princeton University and her magna cum laude Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Columbia College, Columbia University.
