Yan Chu Associate
Yan Chu is an Associate serving as the enclosure specialist at the NYC office. She provides technical leadership and establishes the office’s standards on system design, detailing, and specification of enclosures across all projects. Prior to joining AAI, Yan was a façade consultant at Heintges & Associates working on projects such as the New Whitney Museum of American Arts, South Street Seaport Pier 17, Vassar College Bridge Building, and etc. She also worked at Front Inc on several façade projects in Asia.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on Architecture from UC Berkeley and holds a Master of Architecture from Princeton University. She has worked in the architectural profession since 1998. Yan has taught as an Assistant Instructor at California College of Arts and Princeton University SOA; has been a member of the Adjunct Faculty of Rensselaer Polytechnic University; an Assistant Professor at the University of Hong Kong; and a Guest Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania.
