AAI Architects, P.C. is the Architect of Record for the redevelopment of 550 Washington Street, fully leased by Google Inc. as a flagship to their significant corporate presence in Hudson Square. Designed by COOKFOX Architects, the project will dramatically transform the former St. John’s Rail Terminal in Hudson Square into a 12-story commercial building. The 1,300,000 sf project will provide 740,000 gsf of high-performance office space as well as retail, ground floor event space, and 150 parking spaces.
The modern offices will feature floor-to-ceiling windows, planted roofs and recessed terraces, 100,000 square-foot floor plates, and waterfront access.
Sculpted within the setbacks of New York City’s ‘sky exposure plane’, the building’s rooftop and terraces will offer singular views of the Hudson River and City skyline.
