Newfoundland Tower

Adamson Associates is the Executive Architect for a new 230-metre high residential tower at Canary Wharf, London. This tower is the first residential development within the Canary Wharf Estate and is envisioned to complement and enliven the successful office development.

Designed by Horden Cherry Lee, this 56-storey tower includes approximately 550 private apartments, six overnight rooms and amenity and retail areas. The amenity facilities include a health club and swimming pool on level 24 with spectacular views towards the City of London and the River Thames.

The design offers a distinctive elongated octagonal shape that complements the site orientation and configuration. Sited on central axis to the dock, the tower defines a natural termination to the water’s edge.  The structural frame expresses on the exterior façade as a diagrid and provides separation for the private apartment balconies. The new building will sit above three levels of basement that accommodate a building plant and approximately 120 car parking spaces.
