Shanghai Pudong International Airport l Design Competition

Adamson Associates, in collaboration with Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, was one of two team finalists for this international design competition.

The landmark Terminal Two airport building in Shanghai is envisioned as one of the largest buildings in Shanghai, and one of the largest airport facilities in the world. A robust master plan optimises efficiency and flexibility, and effectively responds to growth in air traffic demands.

The building design creates a unique experience for passengers, staff and airline operators alike, maximizing comfort and convenience by incorporating high quality environmental demands, exceptional processing and service, reliable baggage handling systems, short walking distances, fast transfer times and integration of mass public transport.
