Wood Wharf Tower A1

Adamson Associates is the Executive Architect for a new high-end residential tower within the new Wood Wharf master plan. Designed by Herzog & deMeuron, the 60-storey tower includes approximately 518 private apartments, amenity and retail areas. The amenity facilities include a ‘cantilevered’ restaurant disc that sails over the public walkway on the second level and has been conceptualized as the element that sets out the tower on the site, engaging with the water’s edge on the south dock and Bellmouth Passage.

The plan form of the tower is circular with apartment walls configured in an arrangement that maximizes daylight to all apartments. It is the specific concept of Herzog & deMeuron for the plan to develop from the apartment layout expressed externally. There are four distinct zones to the cylindrical tower, terrace lofts, clusters, winter-gardens and penthouse apartments with each zone expressed differently on the façade.  The new building will sit above two levels of communal basement which accommodates car parking and building plant.
