30 Hudson Street

Rising 42 storeys at its peak and capped with an illuminated louvered glass crown, 30 Hudson is a landmark in Jersey City. This 1,500,000 sf consolidated facility for Goldman Sachs includes trading floors, amenity areas and administrative offices. The tower is connected to Manhattan via the Path Train and water ferries servicing commuter traffic.

The tower is clad in a curtain wall system incorporating a decorative art of tubes which, when viewed under natural light, adds to the perceived building depth. This approach to cladding glass towers should be understood as a modern interpretation of the historic stone clad tower with its multiple layers of articulation.
