5750 Explorer Drive

This new Class A office building is located on the western end of Explorer Drive in the Airport Corporate Centre, facing Highway 401. It includes a five-storey, 117,000 sf office building and 408-stall parking lot. The building's distinctive image takes advantage of the maximum exposure to Highway 401. The extensive use of glass reduces its overall massing, giving it a light, almost ethereal, quality.

Less reflective glazing types were chosen to enhance the building's transparency. A highly transparent, 30-foot slope of light grey glass at the centre of the building, extends from the ground floor entrance to the penthouse level. The vision glass is also light grey in colour and a light blue has been used on the spandrels.

This building received LEED Silver Certification in September 2009.
