Imperial Oil Canadian Headquarters

Adamson Associates was the Winner of a Limited Design Competition held by Imperial Oil in 1991. Five firms competed to design this new headquarters building to accommodate 6,000 people in a rural area on the outskirts of Toronto. Programme requirements included offices, research laboratories, a conference centre, museum, a large dining and kitchen facility, fitness centre and large childcare centre. The site was to incorporate a stormwater management lake with a heat exchanger to cool the building.
