Times Square Building, 229 West 43rd

The historic, 16-story former New York Times building was transformed into modern Class A+ office and retail space with opened up floor plates around a reconfigured central core. The landmarked brick and limestone façade of the building at 43rd Street was completely restored with most of the loading bays on the south side of the building framing smaller, glass and stone-fronted retail units. The bays at the back of the building that were not covered by a landmark designation, were completely revamped to serve as an entrance to multiple large retail units below ground in the soaring former pressroom.
