Our Diversity Principles

You can be a professional with us and still be you. We value the talents and perspectives you bring to our office and our dedication to quality services. Diverse perspectives enhance innovation. That aligns with who we are: our clients come to us for creative solutions for important design problems. We commit to creating opportunities for all employees to add value to our exciting design projects, improve their skills by working hard together on office challenges, and advance to leadership roles. We believe a great professional can be anyone and can come from anywhere. We look for the best in every employee. We welcome anyone ready to contribute to our team. We will not tolerate discrimination or harassment in our office. Diversity, inclusion, and access to opportunity are essential to our path forward – in attracting, training, mentoring, and retaining our future leaders. (September 25, 2021 – Adamson and AAI Diversity Principles)

Inclusion and Investment in Our Talent

We understand that one of our great professional resources is our employees. And when you and other employees are included, empowered, and encouraged to celebrate your individuality within the team environment, together we are able to achieve great success. When we hire you, it is our aim to keep you and to foster your growth and career satisfaction. We listen to our employees regarding their career objectives and help them achieve their individual professional goals. Educational reimbursement programs are in place to help our employees through the architectural licensing processes and to help ease the financial burden associated with professional dues and required seminars. We also conduct skill development lunch-and-learns and other training and mentoring programs.

For Applicants

Social + Culture

We recognize that the hard work and dedication of our team is instrumental in our success and is predicated on maintaining and nurturing our employees. Adamson and AAI transcend merely being a group of professional colleagues but we consider ourselves a family.

One of the ways we achieve this is through an emphasis on the social aspects of work. Our social events, both large and small, are regularly held in each of our office locations to help encourage team building, creating positive working relationships, the sharing of ideas, and the integration of new employees. These events are very casual and low-pressure in nature, and we strive to provide a communal environment for everyone.

In any given year, we hold regular barbeques, after-work happy hours, sports teams, architectural design contests, wine tastings, breakfasts, ski trips, white water rafting, architectural study groups … the list is endless and we continually seek new suggestions on how to make Adamson and AAI a fun, enjoyable, and stimulating place to work.
