HR Advisor

Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Advisor will be responsible for the delivery of assigned HR services and activities to employees in our four North American offices (Toronto, Vancouver, New York and Los Angeles).

Based out of our head office in downtown Toronto, this role requires a true generalist as it covers the full spectrum of HR activities.

Primary Responsibilities: ​​​​​​​

  • Group Benefits Administration – enrollments, updating payroll on rate changes, updating employees on new features, dealing with day to day inquiries and changes, leave management
  • Health and Safety – ensuring legal compliance, reporting, tracking, Covid protocols, physical signage, JHSC, accident reporting
  • Recruitment / Onboarding – applicant review, phone screening, preparing offer letters, communication with hired candidates, first day communications, onboarding meetings
  • HR Administration – report writing, maintaining employee records, staffing charts, incident tracking, employment letters
  • Employee Relations – exit interviews, performance management, aiding with corporate functions

Ideal Candidate:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or Post-Graduate Certificate in Human Resources or HR Management
  • CHRP or CHRL designation (or working towards them)
  • A friendly, approachable demeanor, and a client-first attitude
  • High degree of tact and the ability to operate in a highly confidential environment
  • Superior communication skills (especially written)
  • Strong computer skills in Excel and Word, and must also be comfortable using new software / apps etc.
  • Previous experience using Payroll, ATS or HRIS systems
  • Previous experience processing payroll is a plus
  • Able to travel if necessary
