Situated within the West Indian North Dock, adjacent to the existing Canary Wharf development, the Crossrail Station is one of seven new underground stations in central London.
Crossrail Place includes approximately 100,000 sf of new shops and restaurants covered by a ‘biodome’-style roof designed by Foster + Partners. A public rooftop garden designed by landscape architects, Gillespies, completes the scheme. The landscaped park on the roof of the shops and cafes uses lush plant species and water features, encouraging the ecological biodiversity of the Canary Wharf Estate and surrounding areas. It is generally open-air, except for an elegant timber lattice roof, providing shelter in inclement weather and offering views of the dock and beyond.
