A forward-thinking office tower is a powerful new presence in Vancouver's skyline
The Stack, located at 1133 Melville in downtown Vancouver, is a 36-storey office tower that has transformed the city’s skyline. Designed by James K.M. Cheng Architects with Adamson Associates Architects as Architect of Record, the building contains nearly 600,000 square feet of office space and approximately 12,000 square feet of retail at grade. With floor plates over 20,000 square feet in size – some of the largest floor plates in the city – the building is an ideal location for large companies including tech firms.
The tower’s height of 550 feet makes it the tallest office building in the city, and is permissible under the City of Vancouver’s General Policy for Higher Buildings, a program which requires a high standard of architectural and sustainable design. Targeting LEED Platinum, the building is one of the first in Canada to achieve Zero Carbon certification, as part of a pilot project.
