Carlos Fighetti has over two decades of experience encompassing all aspects of architectural practice – planning, designing, detailing, coordination of multi-disciplinary teams, and project management and execution.
An engineering background, combined with studies in architecture, informs Carlos's intuitive understanding of the building process on both a micro and macro scale, including construction technology and building materials. He excels in a team environment that requires intense cooperation due to the complexities of high-performance buildings. As a LEED Accredited Professional and proponent of sustainable design practices, he believes in designing environmentally responsible, energy-efficient buildings that are responsive to their site and climate. His projects include the Times Square EDITION hotel, the National September 11 Memorial Museum Entry Pavilion, and the 425 Park Avenue office tower. He is currently contributing to commercial work in Miami, and a healthcare project in New York City.
Prior to joining AAI, Carlos was a project designer with Cook + Fox and worked with our team on the Bank of America Headquarters and Stephen Sondheim Theatre renovation. He holds a Master of Architecture from Rice University in Texas and a Bachelor of Science (Civil Engineering) from Columbia University in New York.
