About project
About project

A 2,000,000 square foot, technologically advanced hospital dedicated to exemplary patient experience and care

Sited on a 50-acre greenfield site, the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) provides a full range of health services including complex continuing care; rehabilitation; renal dialysis; acute inpatient care; maternal child care; inpatient and outpatient adult and child and adolescent mental health; and secondary and tertiary level programs.

The OTMH is a 457-bed patient-centred hospital comprising three main sections: a 5-storey building for complex continuing care and rehabilitation; a 10-storey inpatient tower; and a 4-storey therapeutic/diagnostic facility. An expansive, light-filled two-storey lobby connects the towers and serves as the central gathering space.

A calming palette of warm-toned materials and colours is used throughout, bringing the outdoors in. The result is a contemporary, technologically advanced hospital with a hospitality-like feel.
