Elaine brings to Adamson’s Los Angeles team both her previous experience in the design of office and mixed-use projects and an extensive background in applied science in materials engineering; as an undergraduate student, she conducted cutting-edge academic research on nanofiber materials and heat-reflective paint.
Prior to entering the architecture field, Elaine earned a diploma in piano performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music. Combined with her Master’s in architecture, her experience in both music and materials science gives her a unique interdisciplinary background that informs her sensibilities and perspectives on design and fuels her strong interest in the performative aspects of architecture.
Since joining Adamson, Elaine has lent her skills as a designer to several high-profile commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects, including residential and multi-use office developments in San Francisco and a development in Beverly Hills comprising residential towers, hotels, and retail elements, all surrounded by extensive landscaped gardens.
