About project

Adamson Associates, Inc. is the Executive Architect for Google’s new Bay View Campus in Mountain View, California. Working in close collaboration with Google, the Design Architects, and the integrated team of specialist consultants, Adamson directed the full consultant team in the delivery of this new high-tech workplace.

In keeping with Google’s drive for discovery, innovation and the creation of technological breakthroughs, the project is packed with cutting-edge sustainable features and resilient infrastructure. Comprising over one million square feet, the all-electric, net water-positive campus boasts the largest geothermal energy system in North America.

Among many notable innovations are the “dragonscale” photovoltaic panels that tile the buildings’ canopy roofs. Defined by an array of curving sections, the roofs are devised to maximize the effectiveness of the solar collection system – and also offer an iconic form that characterizes this first-of-its-kind project.

Google Bay View has earned LEED Platinum certification.
