Michael's extensive experience in large-scale commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects has developed over years of close collaboration with renowned design architects and top tier clients. His portfolio includes projects with such firms as Foster + Partners, Herzog & de Meuron, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, and Heatherwick Studio. On the client side he has worked with Canary Wharf Group, BNP Paribas, Chelsea FC, and Native Land, among others.
A graduate of the Edinburgh College of Art, Michael holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Master of Architectural Conservation and Architecture. He began his professional career in 1999, working first as a designer and assistant architect with Seattle firm Olson Sundberg, and then with Dutch practice Mecanoo.
Since joining Adamson, Michael has contributed to a wide variety of projects in London, and to date he has overseen the design and implementation of over 250,000 sf of retail space at Canary Wharf, and led the interior design of the district's new Elizabeth Line Station. Michael was also instrumental in the Six Pancras Square project at Kings Cross, and the master planning and Phase 1 at the Wood Wharf development. More recently he has overseen our work on Future Olympia – a redevelopment of London’s iconic exhibition site.
