Ventzislav Pavlov

Principal

A Principal in our Toronto office, Ventz first joined our team in 2011

Ventz brings extensive technical expertise and strategic insight to every project, with a particular strength in translating complex designs into buildable, high-performance architecture. A critical thinker and collaborative problem-solver with a passion for design, he is highly experienced in modern building practices, advanced engineering systems, and regulatory frameworks, allowing him to guide teams through all phases of design and delivery.

Ventz first joined Adamson in 2011, imparting his skills to several high-profile international projects, including the Abu Dhabi Media Zone and 53W53 (MoMA Tower) in New York. More recently he played a critical role in Google’s Bay View campus in Silicon Valley; a role for which he relocated to California for more than five years to support the project on the ground. Since returning to Canada, his work is focusing on major developments underway in Toronto, including academic buildings, cultural institutions, and large master planning endeavours. He is currently leading our work on the Nunavut Inuit Heritage Centre, an Arctic cultural hub planned for Iqaluit in Canada’s northernmost territory.

Early in his career, Ventz also worked at several other well-known firms in Toronto, New York, and Miami, lending his strong technical skills to large-scale works such as the Toronto Pan Am Games Pavilion, the Centre for Engineering Innovation at the University of Windsor, St. Catherines Hospital, and the Fallsview Casino. He holds a Master of Architecture (with Commendation), as well as a Bachelor or Architectural Studies (Honours), from the University of Waterloo. A licensed architect in the Province of Ontario, he is also registered to practice architecture in the State of California.
